About the Team
Our Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team is based in our London City office work closely with the West End teams as part of collaborative working groups and client meetings. The team is made up of 12 individuals and is mainly focused on the office and industrial sectors with a strong occupier client base, predominantly based in the UK but with some growth into International portfolios. Our clients come from both private and public sectors and we are currently on a number of frameworks including Department for Transport and Homes England. The team is led by experienced Partners who have UK and global experience, creating a dynamic environment where individuals can benefit from, and contribute to, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Job Description
The role will be primarily to lead our DfT account as a Project Manager for all of their operational needs. This will be a varied and fast-paced role, interacting with key client contacts as well as interacting with individuals across the firm.
Main responsibilities
• Detailed understanding of complex title and lease documentation
• Managing and communicating with all other Government stakeholders associated with DfT
• Manage the overarching Crown Commercial Services Agreement for all portfolio requirements
• Managing the day to day leased portfolio and liaising with landlords accordingly
• Coordinating and leading workstreams with Building Surveyors and Project Managers relating to fit out and alterations
• Managing any planning enquiries or working with Planners to resolve client needs
• Managing design team queries and negotiating landlords consent where required
• Managing acquisitions of accommodation and or market testing
• Managing the disposal process of the surplus space
• Undertaking option appraisals and financial modelling to support business decisions
About you
• MRICS qualifications (minimum 5 years post qualification experience)
• Proactive in building relationships and managing stakeholder expectations
• Experience in a CRE or estate management role would be beneficial
• Track record in managing projects and 3rd party contractors
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Thorough understanding of commercial leases particularly around compliance and risk identification
• Understanding of UK office and or industrial sectors
• Proven IT skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office
• High level of organisational and administrative skills
• Ability to work on own initiative whilst being part of a close knit team, with a proven track record of leadership
• Proactive, flexible and self-motivated with a real desire to deliver excellent customer service
• Full driving licence

Working hours
The Firm’s core hours are from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and you may choose to start and end your day around these hours, provided you still do your 7.25 hours per day (e.g. 8.00 am – 4.30pm, 10.00 am – 6.30 pm). There is no requirement for this to be the same each day, but you are required to keep your manager informed. This position also involves out of hours working on an ‘as necessary’ basis. We are open to considering flexible working arrangements for everyone; this can be discussed during the application process or upon commencement.
