About the Team
Our West Malling office is dedicated to Client Accounting, comprising three services: Rates Payment Managements Services (RPMS), Corporate Property Management Finance (CPMF) and Investment Property Management Finance (IPMF).

CPMF combines our property management expertise with strong accounting knowledge to manage the finances for our corporate occupier clients’ property portfolios. Making payment to our client’s landlords for Rent and Service Charges of over £700 Million per year. Clients include Costa, WH Smith and Whitbread plc.

Job Description
A vacancy has arisen within the CPMF team working as an Accounts Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract. The role involves working closely with the relevant Client Accountant and wider Surveying teams. This is a busy role, that will give someone the opportunity to work within a small team who gains satisfaction from being busy, using excellent attention to detail and building relationships across different business areas.

Main responsibilities
• Work with PMF team uploading all invoices / tax receipts received into GE Retrieve system
• Managing central email inbox and allocating correspondence to correct teams
• Liaise with external managing agents and landlords to obtain copies of missing documents
• Undertake supplier statement reconciliations against GE system records
• Solving discrepancies between actual demands and property database records

About you
• Car and drivers license are required for this role
• Well organised, methodical and conscientious
• Able to deal with people at all levels, with tact and diplomacy
• Personable and approachable
• Experience of using computer-based accounting systems.
• Must be numerate, have an eye for detail and have communication skills, both in writing and on the telephone – particularly important when dealing with clients.
• Ability to deal with large volumes and work to deadlines.
• Excellent spreadsheet (Excel) and IT skills

Working Hours
Our hybrid working policy outlines staff to be in the office for 3 days per week, with 2 days working from home. We also offer great flexibility around our core hours, which are from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. You can choose to start and end your day around these hours, provided you still do your 7.25 hours per day (e.g., 8.00 am – 4.30pm, 10.00 am – 6.30 pm). This position also involves out-of-hours working on an ‘as necessary’ basis. We are open to considering flexible working arrangements for everyone; this can be discussed during the application process or upon commencement.
