About the Team
The Leisure (including Hotels) team consists of 24 individuals (from technical support through to Partners) within the wider Alternative Markets business group. The team are seeking an Associate level individual in order to replace an impending retirement within the team.
Job Description
The purpose of this role is to manage public house rating appeals, negotiating and managing the settlement of the rating appeals. There may also be opportunities to be involved in rating work within the wider leisure sector and well as broader public house valuation advice.
Main responsibilities
• To provide first-rate advice to clients in the area of expertise.
• Managing the relationship with key clients.
• Supervising and mentoring more junior members of the team.
About you
• MRICS qualified
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with an eye for detail, a commitment to excellence and developing strong client relationships.
• Planning and prioritising skills to schedule work and ensure its timely completion, taking into account conflicting deadlines.
• A degree of flexibility in order to move from one task to another without a loss of productivity
• The ability to adapt to changes initiated by the department or the client.
• A high degree of analytical ability.
• Perseverance and stamina with a drive for results in order to maintain momentum and complete the task.
• Portrays confidence in their ability to both sell to the client and meet their needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with, not only the ability to engage with current clients and colleagues at all levels, but also the ability to manage and develop key external contacts to maximise business opportunities for Gerald Eve.
• Professional manner in dealing with clients at all times.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and relevant IT-based systems.
• Full UK driving licence.

Working hours
The normal hours of work for this position are 0900hrs to 1730hrs, Monday to Friday. This position also involves out of hours working on an ‘as necessary’ basis.
